Program Overview

Executive master’s degrees differ from a traditional MBA in that they’re designed to accommodate the working professional and offer more flexible and convenient enrollment options. And while their delivery methods often mimic those of an executive MBA (EMBA), executive masters are specialist programs that offer focused education in a specific subject area versus the EMBA which is a generalist program that covers a wide range of business topics. The main objective of the MSc African Union Law & Policies is to enable candidates to acquire a solid knowledge of the rules of operation of the African Union and the fundamental principles of African Union law. We offer this MSc with the aim of popularizing African Union law. The law of the African Union is, until now, little known and little disseminated despite its richness and although it innovates on a certain number of aspects. Therefore, the objective of this Masters in African Union Law and Policies is to closely follow the activities of the African Union and its various political, jurisdictional, financial, economic and other institutions; but also to comment on the evolution of its regional and sub-regional communities and analyze the relationship between the AU and certain other regional and universal institutions and organizations (such as the UN, the ICC, the EU, etc.), the light of international news and recent events.

Duration

The EMSc Criminal Law & Criminal Sciences lasts 16 mounths including the preparation of a dissertation. The EMSc is in 100% online mode or on campus (with time arranged for executives). A presence on campus would be necessary for the defense of the dissertation in front of a jury (an online dissertation would be possible by derogation for certain cases).
